'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A few thoughts from me..

I'm very happy with the results we've got so far, I think we'll make it to the quarter finals..

I think overall the team has played really well as a unit although last on Friday some of the defending was shocking but we got stuck in and didn't let our heads go down and battled back to win the game..

I do however have my doubts about Terry and in particular his lack of pace, he was ripped a new arse hole last night at times, he does make up for this with his get your head in type attitude but I worry he could cost us, I doubt he'll get dropped though so I guess we'll just have to live with it, I do think this could well be the last we see of him.

Ashley Young on Friday nights performance should be dropped in my opinion along with Milner and Walcott and the Ox get their chance.. both worked hard and Milner was getting some crosses in at least but Young was very disappointing if you ask me.

On to the Rooney dilemma then.. Should he walk straight in?? I honestly thought before the tournament that if we're doing well and the strikers in particular then he should wait, now though even though we won on Friday night and scored goals (2 from strikers) I feel that we need his extra bit of class, his creativity and eye for a goal..

If he comes back who gets dropped? I would have to say Carroll, I know he had a cracking game and battles all night long but I feel Welbeck and Rooney are obviously in sync with each other more, to be fair I guess whoever gets the nod if anyone does then it's a nice front line.

Oh and I've just put him in my dream team.

Thoughts?

Agree Terry looks susceptible to pace as he did last season for Chelsea. Shouldn't be an issue against the likes of Shevchenko and Voronin on Tuesday night but will be in the knock-out stages if/when we come up against the likes of Spain and Germany etc.
The Bagman
though his courtcase might just save Hodgson a job in booting Terry out, I do think the time has come to look elsewhere. we do have several other options, such as Cahill, Jagielka, Jones, as well as Lescott, beyond this tournament, whilst a few others are emerging such as smalling or even steven Caulker if they get games nexy season.

so if we were looking to drop Terry for tomorrow or later on, who would you opt for, Jagielka or Jones?

If Terry was dropped then I'd go for Jagielka. But I doubt Terry will be dropped even though, like The Bagman says, his pace looks off to me
