Exploring the minds of Europe's Football Fanatics

During Euro 2012, Sharp is switching attention from the pitch to the terraces and is carrying out the largest ever survey of European football fans with some interesting insights into fan behaviour and attitudes.

England fans have been found to be the most frustrated in Europe - maybe not so surprising considering our recent sub-par tournament performances! Looking at the rest of England's Group D opponents, you can see that it's not just our fans who are jaded. Most Ukrainian fans have already written off their team's chances, the French show by far the least dedication to supporting their national team and the majority of Swedish are not very committed, despite the large numbers that have travelled to the Ukraine.

On the other end of the spectrum, fans of tournament favourites, Germany, believe that 'die Mannschaft' will stick together through thick and thin and the fans of defending champions Spain are the most confident in Europe.
