Fabian Delph Anyone?
Should England boss Gareth Southgate recall Manchester City's Fabian Delph for the upcoming international friendlies in March?
In my opinion the answer has to be yes - I'll explain my reasoning.
After Manchester City record signing, Benjamin Mendy ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee last September City boss Pep Guardiola had a dilemma in who he should find as a long-term replacement.
Normally, Fabian would play in City's midfield, but for reasons unknown to many Pep decided to trust the former Aston Villa star as Mendy's replacement (left back position) and bingo, the 28-year-old took to it like a duck does to water.
With 29 appearances under his belt and one goal later Fabian has impressed the City faithful playing alongside Aymeric Laporte, Vincent Kompany and Kyle Walker.
If the Three Lions boss has any brain cells he really should consider Delph in the left-back position, especially against the Netherlands (23 March) and Italy four days later.
Incidentally, Fabian has nine senior England caps.
