Goal Highlights: Malta 0-4 England

Goal Highlights: Malta 0-4 England

If you missed the game and you want a short summary how about, 'in my eyes the final score flattered England'.

Malta were dogged and well-rehearsed in defence - one could say they 'parked the bus'. On the other hand and for the best part of 80 minutes England frustrated the hell out of me. Yes, their passing was clean and sharp but they simply struggled to kill the game off early in the first half when, on four minutes Kane forced the home side keeper, Hogg into a great save with a near-post header. If's and but's I know.

The Maltese heat and humidity at this time of year can, for those who are not acclimatised and used to the conditions simply wilt. However, I have to say the England players' general fitness, even though the season is a mere three weeks old was enough to see them finish the game in style.

Danny Welbeck makes it 3-0 (90+1) as he lifts his finish over the keeper.
