Manuel Neuer Out Of England Clash

Bayern Munich confirmed earlier today that their number one keeper has withdrawn from the German international squad to face England on Wednesday.


The 30-year-old Germany captain has a calf problem and will remain with his parent club for treatment.

Germany boss Manager Joachim Low has called up Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp as cover.


Germany Squad

Goalkeepers: Trapp, Leno, Ter Stegen

Defenders: Mustafi, Hector, Howedes, Hummels, Rudiger, Sule, Kimmich

Midfielders: Rudy, Khedira, Draxler, Kroos, Schurrle, Podolski, Ozil, Muller, Can, Weigl

Forwards: Sane, Brandt, Gomez, Werner

The world champions face England in a friendly in Dortmund on Wednesday (22 March 2017), kick off 7:45pm. The game is available to UK viewers, live on ITV.



England's next game, which has more than just pride riding on it is on Sunday 26 March at Wembley Stadium against Lithuania in a World Cup Qualifier. Kick off 5pm.
