Pochettino - Spurs Have A Special Talent In Alli

Pochettino - Spurs Have A Special Talent In Alli

Not only does Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino think Dele Alli is one of the top footballers at White Hart Lane he's said he's one of the 'best players in the Premier League' in fact.

His brace in the win against Chelsea recently - to end the Premier League leaders' 13 game winning run - made it seven goals in four games. Which is some record and one an out and out striker would be happy with!

Pochettino might think the England international is already one of the top performers in the topflight but he also thinks there's plenty more to come too.

When speaking ahead of Spurs' FA Cup tie with Aston Villa he was quoted by beIN SPORTS as saying:

'I think he is a very special player and something different. He is Dele Alli and it is difficult to compare. I think his potential is still massive. He has a big gap to improve and learn. He's showing now, in the present, unbelievable qualities and putting in great performances. He's one of the best players in the Premier League.'

Alli's impressive form for Spurs since joining them from MK Dons in 2015 - already earning him a new long-term deal at White Hart Lane - has seen Spanish giants Real Madrid credited with an interest in the 20 year old.

However, Spurs have issued a hands off warning according to Sky Sports.
