Allardyce Could Return At Crystal Palace

Allardyce Could Return At Crystal Palace

Sam Allardyce has been out of work since parting company with England earlier in the season of course - I think we all know what happened to spell a swift end to his Three Lions career!

However, he could return to the game at Crystal Palace after Alan Pardew left the Premier League club on Thursday. Ironically enough Pardew was one of those touted as a potential replacement for Allardyce but he didn't think the time was right.

Allardyce is seen as the frontrunner according to the BBC to take the post at Selhurst Park and so could - if he hasn't already - hold talks with Palace about the job as they seek someone to steady that ship. In fairness he's got a proven track record at club level when it comes to keeping teams up.

The Premier League club confirmed in their own statement following Pardew's departure they wanted to find a replacement as quickly as possible.

If these reports come to anything we could see Allardyce back in a job over Christmas giving him the perfect present - Pardew on the other hand got exactly the opposite gift wanted this festive season...

Bad luck to Palace then. Ridiculously greedy man and awfully boring manager.
