Conte Can Count On Loftus-Cheek At Chelsea

England U21 international Ruben Loftus-Cheek had been linked with a loan exit from Chelsea recently as he wasn't getting as much first team football as his involvement at Stamford Bridge last season suggested he could.

Loftus-Cheek turned out for Chelsea in 17 games last season after making his breakthrough into the first team. However, he hasn't managed much football since Antonio Conte became the Blues manager in the summer.

Despite this lack of involvement Conte has said he can count on him if called upon and praised his potential citing injuries this season as for his lack of action - his last Premier League appearance came back in October.

Conte also spoke of his great potential but did appear to hint that the 20-year-old could be sent out on loan in the coming weeks.

He was quoted by the Metro as saying:

'For now he is in our squad, but this season he has had a few injuries. There is a moment when I speak with my club and make the best decision. I think Ruben has good potential - great potential! It's important to show this in order to improve. I count on him.'

A loan could be a good thing for Loftus-Check, Chelsea and of course England. If Chelsea decided to allow this there wouldn't be a shortage of offers to take him off the Blues' hands on a temporary basis I'm certain.
