England Women's Team To Get Wembley Bow

England Women's Team To Get Wembley Bow

The England Women's team will take to the Wembley pitch for the very first time when we host Germany in a friendly in November.

England are obviously celebrating their qualification to the Canada World Cup next summer, and the game has been set for November 23 and the game is part of a reciprocal agreement with the current European Champions who will also host us in Germany in another friendly which is still yet to be set.

Speaking to theFA.com manager Mark Sampson said of the game.

'It's a really exciting opportunity for the team to take on the European Champions. To test ourselves against teams of Germany's calibre is important for the development of the team in the lead up to the World Cup. Everyone at the FA has worked really hard to give the team the opportunity to play at the home of football and it's fantastic that we're getting the chance to do so.'

The game is said to be subject to Germany's qualification to the World Cup as well, but further details such as ticket arrangements will be announced in due course.
