Sturridge: Play It Our Way

Sturridge: Play It Our Way

If England are to achieve anything this summer in Brazil Daniel Sturridge feels that it is important that we 'impose ourselves' when we play.

At 23 it is odd to think that Sturridge is an 'experienced' member of the world cup squad but, I guess, in a way he is even if you cannot exactly say he has a long-term England career under his belt to date.

Still, clearly, one of the younger players for England though he has told sky sports that he knows we have a difficult job ahead of us in Brazil but with 'a lot of luck' and playing our way we could achieve something.

Imposing ourselves is the way to go for the Liverpool man: 'it's difficult to win, you have to have a lot of luck.

'It's important to go out there and play how we play. It's important to play our football and go out there and impose ourselves on the opposition.'

I know I sound like a broken record but once again I will share my 'no fear' thoughts.

So long as the younger players are given the chance, and allowed the freedom to express themselves, I think we will do ok because that lack of fear will mean those players will play with believe and look to definitely impose themselves for sure.
