Wedding Postponement?

Having got married myself this year, and knowing how much it means to the bride (not that it meant nothing to me of course, it meant the world) I think Adam Lallana could be risking the wrath of his wife to be if he puts off his wedding next summer...

Which is something he would have to postpone if he is included in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the world cup in Brazil.

He is due to marry his fiancee Emily Jubb on June 14th, but if he is selected for the world cup the Southampton man will of course have to put that on hold but has told the Sun that his better half is ok with that.

In all fairness, as much as you would hope that a wedding only comes around once, the chance at playing at the world cup can also only come once so it would be almost unheard of for a footballer to refuse such an opportunity to get married!

If Lallana is going to make the final 23-man squad is far from certain but he, at this time, must have as good a chance as most others...

Fortunately he has an understanding other half, I am not sure mine would have been as relaxed about this - thinking ahead though I made sure mine was in the summer of 2013 as it meant no conflict with any football, it did clash with the British Lions but most got to watch that in the bar anyway!

You are a bit behind the times. Adam and Emily got married on 23rd December

That takes care of the problem then, he'll just have the rest of the problems marriage brings lol!

you have to think that he has a great chance of making the 23 for Brazil, based on his form this season
