England to meet the old enemy

There is always something about meetings with Germany, and another is in the pipeline for the end of this year?

Germany's plans, as they prepare for the 2014 world cup finals - which will soon be here! - are being put in place with high profile friendlies with France and Brazil planned with one lined up against England and Italy in November.

More often than not little can really be viewed from a friendly, as far as results go, but such a fixture against the German's would prove a good fixture as preparations for the world cup finals in Brazil, assuming we quality - as do Germany of course!

This game is looking like it could take place in November 2013 from what I can gather?

some mouth-watering games lined up.

what, us or them or both?

games against the likes of Brazil, Germany, Argentina and even the rivalry of Scotland are all games to fire the publics imagination and that is what the international game desperately needs. the usual drivel of Qualifiers that offer nothing to the fan are killing the international game in my opinion and thankfully we have games to excite in numbers as opposed to just the occasional game

it offers something on and off the pitch doesnt it.

problem is that as a nation we dont give a *****e about games against Moldova and the like, and we get far too many meaningless games to maintain real interest in international football and that apathy is spreading into our tournaments
oxfordspur
of course there are other reasons why international football is dying, more football on TV such as CL and Premiership games, failure upon failure and perhaps even an over rotation of players and giving away cheap caps. however I would like to see UEFA and FIFA embrace a seeding system that made for more meaningful games. this would also perhaps allow for minows to play each other and develop a way of playing football as opposed to putting ten behind the ball and looking to avoid humiliation as well of course as allowing the bigger and better nations to play similarly equipped countries and retain a better interest
