If it 'was a chance' it wasn't taken!
Some of the headlines heading into the weekend premier league games, as far as Nathan Dyer was concerned anyway, were that the weekend meeting between Swansea and Everton was the chance for Dyer to 'audition' for a place in the England squad...
A 'chance to go up against' England international Leighton Baines was meant to be the idea opportunity for the 24-year-old to further his credentials for his first England call-up - something that plenty feel he deserves.
The Swansea man himself thought it was a good chance for him to further show what he could do.
Well, the winger did not even start the game and when he eventually came on at half-time two bookings in quick succession swiftly after saw him then take an early bath following a sending-off...
Lets just hope, for his sake, that the game wasn't seen as his 'chance to prove himself' to the England management eh!
