When you are 31-years-old and have not really have a sniff of international football most would think it is not going to happen is it?
Not Leon Osman though!
The Everton man is refusing to abandon 'his dream' of playing for England: 'I wouldn't say I have accepted getting called up for England is going to elude me.
'As you start to get 30-plus, the chances start to diminish, but, as an English lad, you still keep going for your club and if it ever happens that would be great.'
Osman is a player that I like, he is a no-nonsense player who quietly goes about his business so is probably a little unlucky never to have made the England set-up, having been 'tipped' to do so in the past.
As I often say you can 'never say never' but Osman playing for England at any stage down the line now seems unlikely, but at least he is not taking the easy route and deciding to play for either Turkey or Cyprus, who he qualifies for by all accounts...

Sadly i have a feeling that his is destined to be an uncapped wonder, but we all k ow there have been far worse players past and present that have picked up loads of caps

highly likely isnt it - tbh, whilst i like osman i do not think that i have ever really thought him an england player, then again i guess i havent thought him not an england player either...

one of the games true unsung players and is probably mostly ignored outside of Goodison. With the likes of Adam Lalana and a few others, all developing nicely, is it now too late for someone like Osman? I think it probably is
