'If It's Football, It's Vital'
No England future at City?
If you are not playing regular 1st team football for your club you almost certainly cannot play football for your country can you!
And this is a dilemma that Adam Johnson will 'probably' be faced with again this season.
What might have appeared a 'dream move' to Man City - and I am not being anti-City or knocking them - might not have worked out as he wanted, but unless another club agrees to pay what City wants I cannot see that he will be moving on anytime soon and nor will they loan him out it would seem?
Johnson is a cracking footballer but has some genuine world-class players ahead of him so it will be a difficult season for him, you would think, so despite playing 90-minutes against Italy there might not be too many more minutes if this season pans out as you would think it would for him.
Do not get me wrong I am sure he will play a role with City this season but it will be a subs role and the odd start due to injuries and suspensions to others or due to a bit of squad rotation.
The guy himself knows that he needs to be playing football, and also admits himself that he fears it will be tough again for him this season...
Rumours are now saying that Sunderland are 'in talks' with the winger, so this could open the door to England success?

I would like to see him at Spurs, and think he has a genuine shout at becoming an England regular if he plays regular football, but he perhaps needs to choose his next move carefully
